Dufil Partners LEARN Initiative

In line with its unwavering commitment to youth development, Dufil Prima Foods, Plc makers of Nigeria’s leading noodles brand, Indomie Instant Noodles, once again donated educational materials and cash to the Lagos Empowerment and Resource Network (LEARN) an initiative of the First Lady of Lagos State, Dame Emmanuella Abimbola Fashola. Speaking, during the official presentation of the items and cash donation, The PR and Event Manager, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, Mr. Tope Ashiwaju, said the 8years strong and longstanding partnership with LEARN was in line with its support for activities that build, empower and keeping the nations young ones positively busy. According to Ashiwaju, it has always been part of the main thrust of the company placing high priority on educational development of the Nigerian child with a strong belief that a quality academic opportunity should not elude them.

Mr. Ashiwaju also used the opportunity to commend the Lagos State First Lady, Her Excellency; Dame Emmanuella Abimbola Fashola for the noble initiative that has immensely helped children, develop academically during their long summer holiday by equipping them with moral, societal values and knowledge instead of being idle as these value systems will positively impact their lives. Mr. Ashiwaju, went on to advise all the students to value whatever knowledge gained through the LEARN initiative because they can never be quantified. He further enjoined the students to understand that hard work remains vital to the success which could be attained only by facing their studies as they are the leaders of tomorrow. Also speaking, Project Manager LEARN, Mrs. Bisi Awoyomi commended Dufil Prima Foods for the firm support, the initiative has impacted on children and the youths, since its inception.

According to her, this shows the level of dedication and sense of duty, the company has continued to invest in the educational development of Nigerian youths over the years. She continued, “This partnership has brought great level of excitement and a source of inspiration like never seen before to the children with the various study materials and cash donated to the initiative not forgetting the consistent free lunch provided for the students on a daily basis at the centers. She explained that the LEARN initiative came to existence as a result of the First Lady’s resolve to boost education in of Lagos State. At that time, her concern about young people was to prevent them from getting involved in acts of social misdemeanors during summer holidays but over the years, the initiative has been very successful in molding and helping the students channel their energy into something positive and productive.
